What was the highlight of Suites Viena Plaza de España
Good location, friendly staff, good breakfast, nice room and kitchen
Good location with walking distance to many attractions. Metro and bus is accessible with a short walking. The property is in a back street so it is very quite. Room is clean and bed is very comfortable. Breakfast is good although the dining aera is not very big (it might be a little crowded occasionally). The room size is large enough and the kitchen is well equipped with stove, microwave, refrigerator, hot water kettle, and cooking utensils. I like the well sealed shower with completely closable door (as compared to half-door showers in some other hotels in Spain and several other countries I traveled). Staff is very friendly. Particularly, Ana at the front desk is very nice and warm. She would greet us every time we came back to the hotel. She provided us very detailed information about the free buses and about how to visit Toledo and Segovia by bus, train, or by using travel agency.
I hate to not rate the property with a "10" but I was indeed frustrated by its handling of the payment. I guaranteed my reservation with my credit card, as I did for all my other reservations through booking.com (often the card would be automatically charged as soon as the free cancelation period ends). However, I was informed of my payment not being processible while I was in a 3rd continent, neither my home country no Europe. I was told that my credit card was invalid, which prompted me calling the property, my bank, as well as the customer service of booking.com in UK. Although it turned out that the the problem was not due to my credit card but to the property's unable to collect payment, I was kept being told my card being not valid, resulting me repeatedly calling my bank to verifying. I was in a country where international mobile calls were charged with outrageous rates. The process not only costed me dozens of Euros but also much time (due to waiting times for live persons in the customer services both of booking.com and of my credit card company). The problem, of course, was not the fault of the property's staff but due to the property itself. It would be nice for booking.com and the property to inform me during my making reservation that credit card guarantee would not be useful for this property so that I could simple prepay the reservation during booking (and the property could refund me in case I cancel), or better, the property could simply ask booking.com to collect the payment, or could wait until I arrive the property (in any case I had already guaranteed my payment with my card through booking.com, which would immediately issue a test charge to verify card info whenever a new card is registered on its site).

Nice clean room.
The room was way bigger than I was expecting and the terrace was BEAUTIFUL!
There was only one little tiny trash can in the bathroom. We looked everywhere for another but we didn’t see one.

Wonderful
Lovely staff. When told we had a day tour and had to leave the hotel early, they packed breakfast including water for us. Super thoughtful and kind. Love the quiet and convenient location, clean room too!
